Who We Are
We're two young ambitious opera directors, with a passion for bringing opera to areas of local and national interest. We create innovative work which always stays alert to people and place.
With combined experience which includes Donmar Warehouse, West Road Concert Hall, Waterperry Opera Festival, Opera Holland Park, Opera North, National Opera Studio, and Trondheim and Kristiansand in Norway, our approach works in unique sympathy with the spaces our productions occupy.
Our Vision
Our work at Fermata is not simply site-specific, but site-sympathetic. We aim to bring opera to areas of unique historical interest, responding to local culture, history, landscape and texture.
